“Remain” is the latest musical offering from Long Beach duo Shiro and was released on November 13th, 2020. “Remain” centers around themes of grief, loss, and letting go in order to stay in the present moment. The music incorporates effects laden guitars, reverberated synths, and ambient vocals with processed beats in order to create a surreal, moody soundscape. The songs were written in the span of two years after the members of Shiro experienced many losses in life, and the album is what came out in the process of achieving emotional catharsis. Shiro hopes “Remain” can provide listeners a healing experience in the intimate yet heavy soundscapes present in the EP.
