Vacio by Jarina de Marco & Empress Of

Dynamic electro-pop artists Jarina De Marco and Empress Of team up on latest single “Vacío,” a declaration of empowerment that lives within the individual spirit. Jarina recently announced the single, out on Thursday, September 2, via her socials and has now announced her special feature, Empress Of (Lorely Rodriguez).

The eclectic duo channel their longtime friendship into a high energy, dedicated love song that speaks to learning to dance in the liminal space of the uncharted, inspired by the precariousness of falling in love.

The single was brought to life with the help of Canadian-born, LA-based producer STINT – who has worked with the likes of Sabrina Claudio, Demi Lovato, Alina Baraz and AlunaGeorge. While the idea of love wraps itself in the embrace of outward connection, partnership also carries the looming reminder that all beginnings come with the probability of an ending despite best intentions.

Jarina shares: “The song is about working through the uncertainties and anxieties of a romantic relationship that is on the precipice of falling deeply in love. I was freaking out and I just had to give in and let go of control. Vacío is a fierce declaration of commitment to the unknown.”

Dominican and Brazilian recording artist Jarina De Marco embodies the sounds of the mulit-ethnic future. Her work definitely transcends categories and borders. She is a creative visionary who sings in four languages; English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. Jarina spearheads all aspects of her project: songwriting, production, visual design, and video direction. As an outspoken advocate of women’s rights and human/gender equality. Jarina’s music is a unique blend of global consciousness and global rhythms. She simultaneously supports the message of resistance, while creating a colorful sound entirely her own.
