From the creators:

This series is a love story to Los Angeles and echoes our journey through the industry. When a queer Latina architect meets a struggling Asian comic who’s just come out…as unemployed, their instant spark sends them on a humorous and heartwarming journey through the city of dreams.A fellow creator stated that working in Hollywood as a minority feels like being invited to a party no one wants you at. We’ve followed in the footsteps of many trailblazers before us by being bold and brave. We wanted these stories to feel real and relatable by bringing the diversity and richness within the often overlooked communities of LA to the forefront.
Growing up I loved watching Back to the Future, Goosebumps, and anything Steven Spielberg related. I felt connected to those stories because they featured outsiders entering new worlds. Just like those stories, my dreams of becoming a director had many obstacles. Tiny Laughs is a reflection of my journey in entering the industry and getting my voice heard.
When I reached the glass ceiling as a creative in the industry, I realized I had to tell my own stories to break through. When I got the courage to get behind the camera, everything clicked. With a diverse cast and crew around me, I was able to bring Tiny Laughs to life. It’s an authentic portrait of the highs and lows many first generation Latinas experience on a daily basis.
